Tell me your story. What do you want people to know about who you are and why you are participating in this project?
I am 53, wife, mother, grandmother and employed full time. Recently lost my father due to a long-term illness, living with grief, and learning to live life in the present.. accepting who I am mind, body and soul, letting go of the past, embracing the future and learning to live in the moment.
Tell me about all of your favourite features and the things you would like to emphasize in your photos! This can include physical body parts or a part of your personality!
I like to have fun, try different hairstyles, and have fun with makeup. Some days I am very basic with my look, other days I get my glam on....you just never know! My personality is laid back and light-hearted. Because of menopause and stress eating, I am not at my ideal weight, I am very body-conscious....ok with my facial features but below the neck not so much...although my partner is always complimenting me and saying that I have a great set of (boobs) for a woman my age....Haha.

Are you nervous about having boudoir portraits done? Tell me about your feelings leading up to your shoot.
I am very nervous but so ready for this! I just feel self-conscious about my imperfections, wrinkles and rolls.... definitely not a model type!!

What do you want other women to think and feel when they view your portraits in your featured blog post? Is there anything else you want to share?
I want them to love themselves, their bodies, and to celebrate the essence of being a woman, a woman who is evolving, and has had a past, present, and future...a woman who has gifts that are uniquely her own. Carpe Diem!
Now that your session is over, how do you feel about the experience? Was it everything you had hoped for?
Yes
Tell me something that you learned about yourself from having this experience.
To let go of fear and negative self talk.

If you were nervous before, tell me when your nervousness disappeared.
As soon as I met Christina, she made me feel very much at ease and not awkward at all.
Do you have a final message or take-away from the Body Love Project?
If anyone is undecided, like I was, just DO IT! You will feel liberated and learn to love yourself and accept your body perfectly imperfect.
